Best of all, our discount vouchers for Magictype's letters are still valid if you order their products through us ! | | This is the official Vallejo site, with colour charts, correspondences with colours from Games Workshop and other paint manufacturers, information on their ranges, and some great articles on how to really use and get the best out of their products. | | | We're great believers in supporting other small businesses working in the modelling, gaming and wargaming sphere. These chaps make some of the highest quality wargaming terrain we've seen in a long time ! They do a great range, and can accept commissions for custom-built scenery to your own design. | | In addition to model-making and gaming, I also run a small unit within the Napoleonic Association. It's like wargaming, but with real people ! In addition to participating in re-enactment events across the UK and Europe, we also make our own uniforms in-house and carry out a lot of in-depth research on the uniforms, tactics and history of the period. | | A little animation by a company called Weakend Productions, which is just the funniest thing we've seen in..... well, forever ! If you don't find this hilarious, go and seek help !!! | | A website and forum dedicated to discussion of online auction sites, focusing on the "St Elsewhere" sites (in other words, the smaller ones, many of which are much friendlier and more community focused than ebay). Although primarily aimed at online sellers, it makes for fascinating and illuminating reading, and can open up a wide spectrum of alternative places to hunt down online auctions. | | Ebid is a great alternative site to ebay. It's up and coming fast, with some great community forums - it has a much friendlier "feel" than the large corporate image ebay has, not to mention that it's free for me to list there, which helps me keep my prices down ! | | My favourite MMORG - take the role of a vampire in the city of Ravenblack, build your powers and fight for survival against the many other vampires there ! The game is a relatively easy to learn point & click affair (although with vast tactical subtleties), but the roleplaying carried out through a wide variety of boards, chat forums and Yahoo Messenger is what really makes it. I can honestly say that some of the best friends I have are people I've been playing this game with for the last 4 years or so. | | APC are the couriers we use when we ship higher value orders within the UK. One of us (guess which one...) used to work at their local depot, so we know exactly how to get the best out of the system and who to talk to when there are queries ! APC's service is second to none, and much better than many of the better known known "names" in the courier business. Each depot is an independent local company, so they combine local knowledge and dedication to service with a UK-wide infrastructure. | | This is our favourite charity, dedicated to providing pensions, heating fuel & medical care to old Gurkhas & their widows, and has built 114 schools to educate the children in their villages. Nepal doesn't have any state benefit system, so the support of this charity is all these brave old soldiers get in many cases. They've served with distinction in our armed forces, and won a stunning number of VC's, so if you give to any charity, please join us in giving to this one ! | |
