Vallejo Paints Mini-FAQ We've got a full Vallejo FAQ HERE, but below is a brief summary of the different ranges Vallejo make; Model Color - A huge range of colours for all types of modelling, with a great range of greens & browns that makes it especially good for modern / WW2 subjects. Game Color - This range is more focussed on fantasy and the "brighter" historical periods (medieval, ancient etc), with a range of vibrant highly-pigmented colours. Model Air - Pre-diluted and ready for airbrush use, with a "stickier" acrylic resin to give great adherence on metal and plastic surfaces. Panzer Aces - These are similar to Model Color, and are specifically chosen for use when painting the crews of WW2 armoured vehicles, as well as a few "generic" colours useful when painting armour (tracks, wheels, etc) Note that all of the Vallejo ranges can be freely mixed with each other, so if the enormous range of colours doesn't have the exact shade you're looking for, it's easy to blend it yourself ! |
